Find the value of K in from the following

      

A line which joins the points A(3, K) and B(-2, 5) is parallel to another line whose equation is 5y + 2x = 10. Find the value of K.

$y=\frac{-2x}{5} + \frac{10}{5}$

$\frac{5 - k}{-2-3}= \frac{-2}{5}$

$\frac{5 - k}{-5}= \frac{-2}{5}$

5 - k = 2

k = 3
