(i) Passwords

A password is a combination of characters that prevent other users from opening and changing a document is without permission. Computer systems provide the users with an option to protect their documents from unauthorised access. If a document protected by a password, only the person who knows the password can open the document or edit it.

(ii) User access level

This is applied in computer networking where computer users are able to protect their data and information from other users sharing the same network. The network administrator assigns accounts to users by providing unique names and passwords to users to enable them access network resources.
