- Christians have shown concern for the destitute and victims of violence in the society by building homes for them and providing food, clothing, education and practical skills to help them in their adult life.
- Christians have taken the responsibility of preaching the gospel to the ends of the world following the great commission of Jesus in Matt. 28: 18-20.
- Christian organizations have also offered medical services to the society, through the many mission hospitals at subsidized rates, e.g. Mukumu, Kikuyu and Kijabe hospitals.
- Christians, right from the time of the missionaries have taken the concern to provide education through schools, colleges and universities, e.g. Alliance Girls and Boys, Loreto schools, Baraton, Catholic and Methodist universities.
- Christians also participate in rehabilitating criminals so that they can fit in society.
- They visit prisons to pray and talk with convicts, so that these people do not feel alienated from the society.
