The earth was originally one huge land mass/Pangae/super continent

Pangaea split into two sub continent to form other land masses

Called Laurasia and Gondwana land

The two land masses were separated by sea called Tethys

Further split occurred on the two land masses

Laurasia broke to form the continent in the southern hemisphere

The continent gradually drifted to their present position
