-Unlike human beings, computers work exclusively with numbers. To process data into information, computers need to work in a language they understand.
-This language is called Binary language and consists of 0s and 1s. Everything a computer does, such as processing data, printing a report, is broken down into a series of 0s and 1s.
-Each of the digit is called a binary digit or a bit in short.Eight binary digit/8bits combine to create one unit called byte.
-With the binary digits the computer is able to understand a print, save, type, command from the user.
