(i).The rebellion claimed the lives of 4000 Zulu and 30 white people.
(ii).It cost the colonial government £740,000.
(iii).More than 7,000 people were imprisoned and 4,000 were flogged.
(iv).King Dinizulu was arrested near Nongoma. He was convicted of treason and sentenced to four year imprisonment.
(v).The Zulu population of Natal were pushed deeper into poverty and pushed into becoming cheap source of labour to capitalists.
(vi).Chiefs who had supported the rebels were arrested and charged with treason.They were initially sentenced to death but their sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment on the Island of Helena.
