Magma movement;Molten rock finds its way to the earth's crust through fissures and vents. This is due to enormous pressure in the earth's mantle. As magma moves, it exerts pressure on the rocks of the crust , stressing them .The rocks move as their space is taken y the magma. As they move, they release the energy they have been storing while under stress in form of seismic waves, causing earthquakes -

Gravitational pull;It intends to pull rocks towards the centre of the earth. The rocks are pulled towards chasms created when magma flows out.The gravitatonal pull causes a lot of stress on the rocks. As the rocks move, they release the energy they been storing while under stress in form of seismic waves, causing earthquakes.
