Examination fever may be caused by the following factors;
- Low self esteem and confidence
- Fear of being punished in case one fails the exam
- Poor knowledge of the subject being examined
- Stress that may have resulted from several factors e.g illness

Unpreparedness - For the students who are not prepared well enough tend to be worried about what will be tested in the exams.
Lack of confidence- This happens when the student does snot believe in him or herself that they can attain good marks.
Pressure- Pressure contributes to most students to have fear, It could be from parents, teachers or guardians.
The fear of failing- The fear that they may not score up to the desired marks, it always creates fear in them. It is something that keeps them worrying almost every time to an extend that it drains their ability not to concentrate.
