-One is not guilty until proven guilty by court of law
-All Kenyans are subjected to one constitution / one law.
-In court of law one is allowed legal representation / consult advocate.
-One can mitigate (can ask for lenience before a court of law).
-If government / state is to acquire any property legally acquired and owned by an individual should dully compensate the individual.
-Accused persons are informed of the charges with sufficient details so as to prepare a defence.
-One should be allowed to cross examine witness in court of law.
-One should be present when court proceedings are taking place.
-One should not be forced to give evidence
-One should be heard in case is accused.
-Once one is sentenced in a court is given 14 days to appeal.
-Law enforcing agents should respect Habeas corpus (not to detain suspects for longer period that stated in the constitution before producing them to a court of law unless is during public holiday or weekend).
