The DNA molecule is made of a double helix structure, of two strands wound against each other. The nitrogenous bases are found along the axes of the DNA strands. The basic unit of a DNA is the nucleotide,made up of: The nitrogenous bases(Adenine, Thyamine, Cytosine, Guanine), the deoxyribose sugar and a phosphate molecule. Several nucleotides make up a DNA molecule. The nitrogenous bases are connected by hydrogen bonds in the order A-C, T-G.
