log(x + 5) = log 4 - log(x + 2)

Answers

John
log(x + 5) = log($\frac{4}{x + 2}$)

$\frac{x + 5}{1}$ = $\frac{4}{x + 2}$

(x + 5)(x + 2) = 4

x2 + 2x + 5x + 10 = 4

x2 + 7x + 6 = 0

P = 6; S = 7; N = 6,1

(x + 6)(x + 1) = 0

x + 6 = 0 therefor = -6

or x + 1 = 0 therefor = -1
