pressure has effects only in the reaction of gases, it is caused by the collision of gas particles with the walls of the reacting vessel. The more the number of molecules present, the higher the number of collision and hence higher pressure. When pressure of a system in equilibrium is increased ,the system will favor the direction that has fewer molecules. For instance, consider the reaction:

A(g) + B(g) = C(g)
2mol 1mol 2mol
(reactants) (product)
for this reaction increase in pressure will favor product side since it has fewer molecules (2mol) compared to reactant side that has (2+1)=3mol
