1. Fear of change.
People are creatures of habit and hence are afraid of change.

2. Fear of losing their jobs.
People usually associate the computer with loss of jobs and hence they will be afraid that they might end up losing their jobs.

3. Fear of failure.
Since the computer is very new in a given working environment, the people will be afraid that they might never adapt to it.

4. Loss of control.
The management will be afraid that once a computer is implemented they might lose control of the organization.

5. Lack of understanding.
The user may not understand the benefits of computer system in their jobs. Thus this will create resistance since computer will be looked upon as an intruder.
