The points are P(65^oS,96^oE) and Q(65^oS,84^oW)

Longitude difference between

the two points is

96 + 84 + 180^o

Distance between P and Q in km

= $\frac{180^o}{360^o}$ x 2 x 3.142 x 6 370 cos 65^o

= $\frac{1}{2}$ x 2 x 3.142 x 6370 x 0.423

= 3.142 x 6370 x 0.423

= 8 458.5 km
