The theory states that the child is directly influenced by the environment, this therefore means that one of the most efficient teaching method will be the observational learning process where the child is encouraged to interact with the environment to acquire knowledge.
The child not only observes the environment but also observes the response gotten by actions done in the environment, the child will tend to avoid actions that attract punishment and will focus on those that bring about rewards. The teachers should use this to swiftly reward or punish the child to give them a sense of consequences, this will encourage good behavior and discourage unruly acts.
The theory also focuses on the cognitive development of the child and how it affects their holistic development altogether.Their attention spams, retention of knowledge, reproduction of behavior and the motivation they get. This can help the teacher formulate the best teaching methods to reach out to individual students.
