Let the total money be sh y

Food = 35; Rent = 12×25 = 15

Balance = 1 - (35+15) = 15

15 x y = 1 400

35 x y = food

Food x y5=3y5 x 1 400

Food = 5y×3y5×1400

= 1 400 x 3 = sh 4 200
