2. Each phalanstere would have large building with all kind of flats to suit different families.
3. In each phalanstere cooking and other services were to be done centrally so as to benefit from economies of scale.
4. Each phalanstere would be provided with 4000 acres of land to use to provide all food requirements to its members.
5. Each phalanstere would be self- sufficient and trade surplus to the other phalansteres.
6. All the members were cooperative owners of all resources.
