1. Cost of production - The total cost of production added to the desired profit for every product should determine the retail price.

2. Availability of raw materials - the ease with which raw materials for production are locally available determines the retail price. Projections should be done so as to take care of future shortfalls. If raw materials are constantly locally available and with ease, the price should be relatively low.

3. The legal aspect - every law and regulation governing local pricing of commodities should be considered in order to avoid conflicts during retailing.
