A stone is thrown in water at a distance of 6 m from a bank and produces 12 crests of waves which took 10 minutes to reach the bank.
Find the frequency of the wave.

Velocity =frequency ×wavelength
Velocity(v) =distance /time
In this case :
V=6÷(10×60)=0.01m/s always work out in SI units (converted minutes to seconds
Wavelength =total number of distance covered /number of crests
0.01=f×6/12
Hence f=0.02Hz
