Lead acid accumulator has the following advantages over primary cells;
-it is rechargeable.
-it is reusable.
-contains less toxic elements compared to primary cell.
-has longer lifetime than primary cell.
-mostly preferred for supplying higher voltages.
-can be recycled.
-saves on cost of using electronic devices as they rarely require replacement.
-large currents can be drawn from it for a long time.
