You first heat the mixture where ammonium chloride will sublime leaving the other mixture.then add water to remaining mixture and stir where sodium chloride will disolve and decant to remain with lead chloride and iron ii oxide.you add ammonia solution to the mixture where lead chloride will disolve leaving iron ii oxide as precipitate
