Slump
This movement occurs on steep slopes. It occurs whereby large sedimentary or granitic rocks overlie weak rocks such as shale or clay. When the weak rocks are saturated with water or eroded, the overlying rocks are undercut. The rock masses therefore move downslope while at the same time rotating in a concave plain. This movement is referred to as slump.
