•Transport – wholesalers assists retailers to distribute goods from their warehouses to the retailers premises.

•Storage of goods – wholesalers stores the goods bought form the producers until when the retailers require them.

•Advice – to retailers concerning the products, buying prices and services to the consumers

•Stocks a variety of goods – which release the retailers the problem of moving one producer to another collecting the various products

•Credit facilities – retailers who qualify are given goods for which they pay for later

•Preparation of goods for sale – wholesalers carry out activities such as sorting/grading/blending/branding on behalf of the retailers.
