Describe the formation of a wave cut platform

Answers

Faith
This is a fairly flat part of the shore which is formed by wave erosion as the cliff line retreats inland. After the formation of a cliff, waves then start to attack the base of the new cliff face which retreats inland resulting in an overhanging cliff. If the process continues, the cliff line retreats inland while at the same time the cliff is lowered. Eventually it may disappear forming a wave cut platform.
