What is a Ria coast?

Answers

Faith
A Ria is a submerged river mouth in an upland area. The flooded river valley is funnel shaped and deeper on the seaward and becomes shallower on the landward side and narrower further inland. The sections of land dividing the river valleys project into the ria as headlands. The ria and the ridges lying between them lie transverse to the coastline.
