- Doga and Nina are killed in their huts for demanding for their rights.
- Kabito is killed for allegedly slandering the president.
- Mosese, Jere and Jusper are arrested.
-Boss pays for his crime when Jusper and the other prisoners stage a palace coup.
Mulili lives by threatening others and by forcing his opinion on them;
-He denies Doga and Nina their rights and oversees their killing and that of Kabito.
-He also ensures that Jere is sent to jail.
He pays for his crime by getting shot.
Tumbo performs his duties with laxity and is only enthusiastic about any unscrupulous ways of making money;
He wrongly allocates part of the entertainment money to Jusper and forgets to follow up the play once he pockets his share.
Latter, Jusper and the prisoners use the play to overthrow the president and Tumbo is driven out of the government.
Mosese is punished for speaking out against the government regulations by being arrested.
Jere is jailed for siding with the bereaved couple while Jusper is jailed for singing songs of vengeance at his brother’s funeral.
Chagaga kills Adika and is later killed by Jusper. Conclusion Indeed it is true that what goes round comes around for characters like Boss, Mulili and Tumbo ultimately find themselves either in the same or worse predicament than they were before. The conclusion may be a recap of the major points or an own opinion tying the discussion.

Read the poem below and answer the questions that follow
AN ELEGY
When he was here
We planned each tomorrow
With him in mind
For we saw no parting
Looming in the horizon
When he was here,
We joke and laughed together
And no fleeting shadow of a ghost
Ever crossed our paths
Day by day we lived
On this side of the mist
And there was never a sign
That his hours were running fast
When he was gone,
Through glazed eyes we searched
Beyond the mist and shadows
For we couldn’t believe he was nowhere
We couldn’t believe he was dead
(Laban Erapu)
