mechanical advantage(M.A)= load/effort
efficiency= (MA X 100)/velocity ratio(VR)
where; load= 60n
effort= 40n
mechanical advantage= 60/40
= 1.5
efficiency= 60%= (1.5 x 100)/ VR
= 60%= 150/VR
.'. VR= 150/60
= 2.5
