What happens when a solution containing 40 g of potassium chlorate and 40 g of potassium nitrate in 100 g of water at 90oC is cooled 40oC? Explain.

Answers

John
Crystals of potassium chlorate come out because at 83oC the solution is saturated with potassium chlorate and cooling causes crystallization. Potassium chlorate does not form a solid because at 40oC its solubility is above 40 g
