iii. Rights are related closely to human needs; thus the provision of human rights ensures provision of basic needs. For instance, article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UNHR) states that ?Everyone has the right to standard of living adequate for the health and wellbeing of himself and of his family including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control
iv. Respect for Human Rights ensures peaceful co-existence among socio-economic and political diversities. Violation or abuse of human rights creates socio-economic and political disharmony.
