After the war, there followed a feminine because the Africa had stopped growing crops because of the war and also the scorch earth policy destroyed their farms.

Africans were displaced especially those from south were pushed out of their land and became landless.

The movement and mixing of people lead to spread of diseases such as small pox.

Those who collaborated with German were rewarded and they became rich after the uprising.

The uprising was a source of inspiration to future nationalist such as Julius Nyerere.

People were left with natural disabilities after the war and others were forced to exile in Mozambique.

Agricultural and trading activities were affected and stagnated for long during the war thus weakening the economy of Tanganyika.

African realized that Germans were too strong for them and thus were reluctant to fight for their rights.
