1. Communication creates awareness. Through exchange of data and information people are able to understand new phenomenon in the society.

2. Communication allows advertising. In the business world communication is important in the interaction of a producer and a customer. The customer becomes familiar with the item of sale before purchasing it through advertisement. This effects the sale of the product.

3. Communication allows protection of a certain idea or image in turn it allows people to shape their Attitudes based on ideas.

4. Communicayion allows exchange of knowledge. Understanding an issue can be based on the people communicating ideas to each other. Vast knowledge is passed globally through various means of communication.
