-The social systems usually divided the male(sex) into boys, warriors and elders.
-The circumcised boys were said to belong to a group known as Ibinda who later were issued with the the task of protecting their society or their tribal lands.
-The females were divided into married women and girls where the first stage began from birth all the way to initiation stage.
-Their system of organization was mainly similar to most of the other kalenjins communities such as Aldai and Chesumei.
-The Nandi territory was mainly divided into six counties usually known as the emet.
-Their counties were divided into districts known as the bororiet.
-The districts were then divided into villages known as the kokwet.
-The division of both gender(boys and females) led to formation of age-groups and age-sets.
-They also practiced religious practices.
-They also had marriage practices of female-female marriages but with no sexual relationship between the women.
