Hypocrisy is an act of pretending to have some moral standards or opinions yet you don't actually have. Through the character of Justin, the caucasian chalk circle by bertolt Bretch gives an analysis of how hypocrisy has caused problems in the society. The society discussed in the play can be compared to today's society in Kenya. Ie,hyposcrisy is portrayed in the following ways :
Jussup pretends to be sick yet he's not.He hides his inner self such that everybody in the Society knows about his sickness.
He is a soldier, expected to join the war with the other soldiers but instead he pretends that he's dying. This can lead to failure in the war.
Hypocrisy can make one to fall into traps that he or she were not prepared for. For example, the mother of Jussup sides with his son. It is because of this that she looks for a lady Grusha to marry him with no respects.
Hypocrisy in human beings can lead to failure in the whole country.
In conclusion, one should be ready to die in his/her line in duty. "if you're a soldier, die holding a gun"
