The size of an interior angle of a regular polygon is 3x° while its exterior angle is (x-20)°. Find the number of sides of the polygon

Answers

Maxwell
Exterior angle = (x-20)°
interior angle= 3x°
(x-20)+3x=180°
exterior angles sums to 360
there number of sides = 360/(x-20)°
to get the value of x;
angles in a straight line sum to 180, so
(x-20)°+3x=180°
this give x=50
50-20=30° i.e the exterior angle
number of sides then is; 360/30
= 12 sides.
