Business environment consists of the external factors that influence the expected outcome. A business organizes its activities to accommodate these factors if it is to succeed. In a situation where the factor are rapidly changing and are always unexpected, businesses may not have strategies of mitigating the changes. Such unpredictable changes creates a volatile business environment. The current political state of Kenya has lead to a highly volatile business environment which has affected the stability of firms negatively. International investors and partners shy from Kenyan markets due to the uncertainty hence lowering the profits.
