2x – y = (3/4)x + 6.

or, 2x - (3/4)x = y + 6.

or, (8x -3x)/4 = y + 6.

or, 5x/4 = y + 6.

or, 5x = 4(y + 6).

or, 5x = 4y + 24.

or, x = (4y + 24)/5.

Therefore, x = 4(y + 6)/5.
