(a) Kenya is located within the tropic latitudes. She therefore experiences high temperatures. This makes the inland and ocean waters warm thus limiting the growth of plankton which require cool waters
(b) Most of the inland waters are affected by the seasonal variation of rainfall. Prolonged droughts results in a reduction of the water in river and lakes. This affects the fish habitats forcing them to migrate to other regions. This may also result in a lot of fish dying.
(c) The Kenyan coastline has a narrow continental shelf which limits the growth of plankton. This means that the number of fish that may breed is also limited.
