The three governments of East Africa have established organisations responsible for managing and conserving wildlife. The wildlife bodies also involve communities in wildlife management since most of the wildlife is found outside protected areas.
(b) Training and research. Training of personnel in research and wildlife management and conservation is being done in the East African countries. This is done through exclusive wildlife colleges.
(c) Creating awareness.
There are efforts among East African countries to create awareness among the youth on the need to manage and conserve the environment. This is done through establishing wildlife clubs in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
