These regions are gazetted so that they enjoy government protection. In these areas, wildlife is protected against destruction by people.
(b) Ban on hunting.
A ban on hunting of wild game has been imposed. Sport hunting, if allowed, is done under supervision not lead to depletion of stocks of some species, especially the endangered ones.
(c) Establishment of game ranches. Game ranches have been established to exploit wildlife for meat and other products while at the same time conserving it.
(d) Protection of endangered species. The endangered species such as the black rhino are being protected. These are kept in fenced off areas where they are looked after and where people cannot interfere with them. In case of sickness, the animals are treated by trained veterinary personnel.
