Play is a pleasurable activity in which a child engages in daily in order to learn. It help a child to develop holistically. For example emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, aesthetically, morally, spiritually and linguistically.
Emotional Development
Children learn how to express their feelings through play. They show their happiness when they have fun with their friends. When they are sad they try to share with their friends to find solution.
Social Development
Children learn how to develop friendship through play. When playing they learn how to share and take turns with their friends.
Cognitive Development
Children develops their memories through play. They are able to remember how they were taught in classrooms a certain activity and practice it when playing. They learn problem Solving skills incase there is a problem. Play boosts children critical thinking capability.
Physical Development
Children learn how to exercise their muscles both gross and fine muscles when playing. Gross muscles decelops when they run, jump, hop and kicking and throwing balls. Fine muscles develop when they engage in eye-hand coordination, and streching their body parts.
Aesthetic Development
Children learn how to appreciate others and things in the environment when playing.
Moral and spiritual development
Children learn good manners when singing spiritual songs when playing
Language Development
Children learn how to speak and communicate fluently when playing with others.
