(i) Date/ Time: Is a data type used for a field that will either hold date or time values. It stores 8 bytes.

(ii) Currency: Is a data type used for a field that will hold currency values and to prevent rounding off during calculations. It stores 8 bytes.

(iii) Text: Is a data type used for fields that will either hold text or combinations and numbers as well as numbers that do not require calculations, such as phone numbers.

(iv) Memo: Is a data type used for fields that will hold lengthy text or combinations of text and numbers such as notes or descriptions.
A memo filed stores a maximum of 65 535 characters.

(v) Number: Is a data type used for fields that will store / hold numeric values to be used in mathematical calculations.

(vi) AutoNumber: Is a data type chosen for fields that will store numbers that will be automatically incremented by 1 in a sequential order whenever a new record is added.

(vii) Yes/ No: Is a data type chosen for fields that will take a boolean expression data having two possible values but only one will be chosen such as Yes/ No values, True/ False values, or On/ Off.

(viii) OLE Object: Is a kind of a data type chosen when that field is to hold embedded objects such as pictures, sounds or programs like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word document, which are linked or embedded to a database table.

(ix) Hyperlink: Is a data type chosen when that field is to store a URL (Website address) or a path to a file in a remote computer either on the intranet or internet.

(x) Lookup Wizard: Is a data type used when looking for fields that will allow the user to choose a value from list of values using a combo box or from another table.
