(a) A calculated control: It is a control that uses an expression as its source of data. An expression can use data from a field in an underlying table or query of a form or report, or from another control on the form or report. For example an expression like TotalCost: ([UnitPrice]*0.75) indicates that data is derived from underlying field called UnitPrice to create a new field called TotalCost.

(b) A bound control: Is tied to a field in an underlying table or query and they get their data from the fieldnames in the given table.


(c) An unbound control: Is a control that does not have a data source but placed by the user on base form or report. You can use unbound controls to display information in a label, lines, rectangles or pictures.
