(a) Control palette: It is a standard toolbox that contains the tools for editing and formatting text and graphical objects in a publication.

(b) Pasteboard: This is a work space area outside the printable area in Adobe Pagemaker Window where graphical objects and texts are placed for manipulation and organization before transferring the final work to the printable area for printing.

(c) Printable Area: This is the frame enclosed with borders where the final work are placed for actual printing whenever they are send to the printer.

(d) Toolbox: Toolbox holds command buttons or tools used for creating and control text and graphical objects.

(e) Page Icons: Indicates page(s) currently visible that are used to move quickly from one page to another. The user moves from page to page by clicking on the corresponding icon. The icons will also show if the document pages are facing pages or single pages.

(f) Master pages: A master page is a publication page(indicated L and R) that one design the layout elements such as headers and footers or page numbers that will be applied to the rest or multiple pages of a publication.

(g) Rulers and guides: Rulers appear at the top and left side of the PageMaker screen, which help the user line up objects on the layout.

(h) Colors and Styles Palettes: The colors and styles palettes are in a floating box like the toolbox. They are used to add, delete or adjust colors and styles used in the Pagemaker document.
