(a) Grouping is a feature in DTP which allows you to consolidate a collection of objects such as text boxes, autoshapes or pictures so that they behave as one for the purpose of moving, resizing or rotating them.

(b) Layering: It is the process of stacking and overlapping objects to create different effects in a publication.
