1. it was highly abused by teachers who had no control
of its use in school.
2. corporal punishment according to the law was meant
for people who have committed offenses like robbery,
rape, assaults, endangering of life, etc.
3. it was a contravention of the penal court section 27,
which requires that before such infliction, a medical
officer should have examined the victim and satisfy
that the victim was fit. The same section says that
before administering the infliction, the, medical officer
must be there to check how the offender is responding
to the punishment.
4. the corporal punishment shall be inflicted by a rod,
cane or other instruments approved by the cabinet
secretary, depending on the health and age of the
offender.
