The management science approach.
This approach was evolved after the 2nd world war. It
involves the application of sophisticated quantitative
mathematical techniques for solving managerial
problems.
Among the managerial problems are; Planning
problems, organizing problems, Decision making
problems, Communication problems, Coordinating
problems, Controlling problems, Evaluation problems,
Budgeting problems.
The approach uses mathematical models to simplify
representations of real life situations. It uses
mathematical symbols and tables to give insight into
issues, e.g, correlation between staff discipline and
performance, student’s discipline verses performance.
