Methods of de-magnetizing a magnetic material.
Demagnetization is the process of destroying a material’s magnetism.
This can be achieved by hammering in the east-west direction, heating or electrical methods.
In electrical method, the bar is placed inside the solenoid and the alternating current ac switched ON. After some minutes the bar is removed slowly from the solenoid.
