ii) Influence of the British Labour Party - These supported the idea of granting independence to the colonies

iii) Creation of multi-racial society in Kenya - Sir Philip Mitchell, the British governor, created a multiracial society

iv) Nomination of the first African representative Legco - Eliud Mathu, 1944 and thereafter Benaiah Ohanga.

v) Experience of the African ex-soldiers during the WW II.
