Velocity of the sound in air is the distance travelled per unit time by a sound wave as it propagates through an elastic medium. In dry air at 0 °C, the speeds of sound is 331.2m/s around 1200km/hat room temperature which is at 20 C .
Distance = 1200* 1000
Time=60*60*0.5
Velocity of the sound in the air =166.6m/s or 543.5ft/s
