• Simple random sampling. This is a probability method where every respondent has equal chance of being selected. The technique can be used in two ways with replacement and without replacement.
• Systematic sampling technique. In this method, the first unit of sample is taken randomly from the total population. The other units of sample are taken at a ifixed interval.
• Stratified sampling. This is an improvised technique above systematic and simple random sampling methods. In this method, the population is divided into sets known as strata. The respondents of one stratum do not have the same characteristics as compared to the attributes of other stratum.
• Cluster sampling. In this method, the population is classified into clusters where each cluster is treated as a small population itself with entire attributes.
• Multistage sampling. This sampling method facilitates to divide population into small samples which must be practicable in both terms such as time and cost.
